Guy Mutto

Guy 'Mutto' Mutton is a Gold Coast based singer and song-writer who has been involved in the music industry for fifteen years. His music embodies genuine and heartfelt lyrics with a raw sense of emotion. He enjoys performing a variety of music styles and the social connection that music evokes

Mutto has performed around Australia including in a variety of schools with his previous band ‘Soulframe’. Their studio album ‘Escaping Entropy’ collected a number of awards and nominations including winner of Gold Coast 90.9 Sea FM's 'Unsigned' Competition in 2005, awarded 1st place in the 2005 Pacific Songwriters Competition's 'Rock/Metal/Indie' category, winner of ‘Best Song’ in category and nominated for four additional awards including 'Artist of the Year' at Musicoz in 2004

In 2006, Mutto was a top 12 finalist in Fremantle Media’s ‘Australian Idol’ that was aired on Channel Ten. On the show he performed weekly to a national audience and came ninth in the competition, nudging out thousands of hopefuls in the process. This opportunity prompted his exposure, and resulted in appearances on Rove and hosting for Austereo Radio Network station 90.9 Sea Fm

He was selected to perform for the Pope’s World Youth for Justice Concert in Sydney, toured with Variety Queensland as part of a charity fundraiser, performed numerous times at the Australian Gospel Music Festival, Great Noosa Campout, Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols Brisbane, Broadbeach Alliance Carols, Colgate Palmolive Carols, Beerwah Carols, Breakfast at the Palace and various weddings and corporate functions

During his career he has worked with a number of artists, including the following; Evermore, Delirious, MotorAce, Grinspoon, Marina Prior, Ricky-Lee, Frank Holden, James Morrison and Troy Cassar Daley

In 2009, he launched his first debut single ‘Wish’ produced by local producer Matt Bartlem, mixed by J.R McNeely of Nashville and mastered by Tom Coyne of Stirling Sound in New York. ‘Wish’ is a sweet, yet melancholy pop rock ballad, connecting with broken hearts but ultimately carrying a message of hope
