Kimberley first made a splash on the scene as a finalist in the 2008 Toyota Star Maker, Australia’s most prestigious country music talent search. Now, after spending a decade honing her song writing and performing skills, Kimberley is ready to bring new music to country music fans
Kimberley made her recording debut with a self-titled EP in in 2009, produced by Matt Fell. Featuring songs co-written by Kimberley and a whoʼs who of the Australian country scene – including Felicity Urquhart and Sam Hawksley – the EP saw Kimberley achieve radio airplay around Australia for the first time
Her single ‘Do Iʼ peaked at #5 on the KixFM Country Top 20 Countdown. She was a finalist in the Rising Star female category at the 2009 Southern Stars – Australian Independent Country Music Awards, a finalist in the country section of the Q Song Awards and shortlisted for the Billy Thorpe Scholarship
Following her first EP, Kimberley spent time in Nashville, where she performed at the Tomkins showcase and worked with songwriters including Preston Brust, Travis Meadows, Dianna Corcoran, Matt Scullion and Kim Richey. It was in Nashville that she wrote the final songs for her second EP, Burnt on You
Produced by Glenn Hannah and drawing on more pop and rock influences than her previous release, Burnt on You marked a new phase of Kimberleyʼs musicality. She launched the EP to a full house of music lovers at the New Globe Theatre in Brisbane in 2014, and performed shows around Melbourne and at the Gympie Muster
Kimberley took a hiatus from music after the release of Burnt on You, spending several months travelling solo overseas. She returned to Australia with a renewed commitment to her music, appearing on the 2019 season of The Voice and releasing the new song ‘Can’t Stop Livinʼ Itʼ
‘Canʼt Stop Livingʼ Itʼ, written by Kimberley and produced by Matt Fell, sees her return to her country roots. The song has been warmly received in Australia, achieving airplay on Community Radio Australia wide. The accompanying music video is also been played on Foxtelʼs Country Music Channel
