Our musicians perform with major symphony, opera and chamber orchestras around Australia, and we are proud to work with such an extensive network of professional and experienced orchestral musicians
Our string quartet is made up of some of our closest friends who also happen to be some of Australia's finest musicians. Many of them perform with the Opera Australia Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Camerata - Queensland's Chamber Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Queensland Pops Orchestra and our own commercial orchestra and The Australian Session Orchestra to name a few
While regularly performing a broad classical repertoire, our string section have developed a reputation for their edgy renditions of modern works and pop/rock arrangements
WHAT MAKES UP A STRING QUARTET / TRIO / DUO?
A string quartet is made up of two violins, a viola and a cello. A trio consists of two violins and a cello and a duo is usually violin and cello
We highly recommend at least a trio if budget and space permits as the music really 'pops' with that third instrument!

$850 + GST first hour | $350 + GST subsequent hours

$1,600 + GST first hour | $700 + GST subsequent hours
STRING QUARTET (4-piece)
$1,950 + GST first hour | $950 + GST subsequent hours

SPECIAL REQUESTS
We have one of Australia’s largest music libraries, but there are millions of songs waiting to be arranged for string quartet. If your special song isn’t on our list, we will either try to source at no extra cost. If a string arrangement is not available for purchase we can write a personalised and original string quartet arrangement for you. The $350 fee includes writing the song for strings and a recording which we will send you as a memento in the weeks leading up to your wedding
OVERTIME
McGee contracts some of the most in-demand freelance musicians in the country. As a result it is important that timeframes are adhered to. In the event that an event runs overtime, the musician has the right to leave when the scheduled booking expires. If the musicians are able to accommodate the extended time, an overtime fee of $200 / musician / hour will be charged
PERFORMANCE NOTES
Armless chairs are required for all performing musicians. Performing in direct sunlight or rain may damage instruments - please ensure shade is available, and a wet weather plan in the event of rain
